Long before founding Silhouette Scents, our founders were involved in consumer product development. For many years they created innovative retail products and licensed bath and body ranges for the South African market, working in partnership with companies that held licences for internationally recognised brands and characters. Their experience included developing products supplied through major South African retailers such as Dis-Chem, Edgars, Pep, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Clicks, Spar, and Jet, as well as independent pharmacies.
Over the years, our founders worked on licensed product ranges featuring well-known brands including Bob the Builder, Bratz, Strawberry Shortcake, Winnie the Pooh, individual Marvel characters, WWE and many others. Rather than simply placing a licensed character on a product, they focused on creating innovative retail concepts that encouraged repeat purchases and made products stand out on crowded retail shelves. This experience provided them with first-hand knowledge of branding, packaging, product presentation and what makes a successful consumer product. Many of these concepts originated from the founders' own ideas, with a strong focus on creating products that were unique, memorable and commercially successful.
